Produced from vines averaging 40 years, the Penya Rouge is a blend of 45% Grenache, 33% Carignan, 11% Syrah, 11% Mourvèdre.  This medium-bodied blend is chewy on the palate and packed with flavor, offering aromas of plums & cherries with smoky notes. The palate yields red and black fruits, spices, a hint of bacon, and gravelly tannins.

For an "Old Vine" red, this is a ridiculous value.
