This was an overwhelming crowd favorite at a recent tasting.  Over 60 bottles were ordered.

50% Syrah / 30% Grenache Noir / 20% Carignan.

The original plot of Malacare is supplemented with Carignan from Rourabeau and old Syrah from Capriers to bring length, finesse and elegance to the shallow Malacare sand on safre, which brings power, precocity and fruit to the blend. This is a mid-weight wine that is not overly fruity, nor is it particularly savory.  It shoots right down the middle.   A nice value overall.
