Paolo Scavino owns 30 hectares entirely in the Barolo area and works on 20 Barolo historical crus located in Castiglione Falletto, Barolo, La Morra, Novello, Serralunga d’Alba, Verduno, Roddi and Monforte d’Alba.
The Scavino family distinguishes itself from the beginning by their scrupulous care of the vineyards and passion for terroir. Their core belief is the supremacy of viticulture above oenology. Therefore, the focus is the care of the vines in order to grow ripe and healthy grapes. In winemaking minimal and equal intervention, regardless of the origin of the fruit are sought in order to preserve natural diversities and character of the terroir.
The 2017 wines are still in their youth and will benefit from at least a few years of additional cellaring. As with most Barolo, these wines have a long life ahead.
