This is a solid cabernet sauvignon with a full body. The reserve tannins nicely frame the wine and give it plenty of currant and blackberry character with some sage and parsley undertones. Starting to be drinkable now and will age nicely.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Farnito is a darkly saturated and penetrating wine that is not overextracted per se. It's just really black in personality. The mouthfeel is polished and nicely evolved (tasted now eight years after the harvest) with blackberry, wild plum and raisin. There is a smoky mineral quality that fits with the finely textured tannins. This wine offers old school elegance.
