Description
A cuvée extracted from the vines that Christophe Chéty acquired in 1999. It is a small enclosure of 4 ha in the town of Gauriac, a village built on stone quarries, exploited since the Gallo-Roman period. These stones were used to build the city of Bordeaux.
A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. An outstanding effort from and outstanding vintage. This wine is definitely full-bodied, with blue/black fruit and gravely tannins. This is an outstanding value for everyday drinking. The added bonus it that it is packaged in a 6-pack wooden case, which is very rare at this price level.
