Description
Christina is set to take her Champagne Masters Exam in February. In February, she will lead a class that will coincide with her final review. Learn about the history of Champagne as well as the various production techniques that give rise to different styles of Champagne. During the comparative tasting to follow, you will experience a broad range of Champagne styles (Rosé. Saigneé. Blanc de Noirs, Oak-Aged Reserve wine, various lengths of lees aging, and house blends of the 3 primary varietals permitted in Champagne).
Sometimes, you just hit it just right...
During our "All Bubbles" event in December, one of our suppliers presented what was perhaps the most instructive lineup of Champagne that I have experienced. Seven distinct styles of Champagne and Cremant were shown. I have no doubt that even a novice taster could pick up on the nuances of each style in this comparative lineup. We will duplicate this lineup in the tasting portion of this class.
