Description
When I saw Estournel on the list, I was immediately intrigued. Despite the fact that I am a huge fan of Cos Estournel, and that this wine has been produced for almost 2 decades, this was my first time to taste it. Two words, very drinkable, would describe this wine. Along with the fact that it was far more polished than a wine from St. Estephe that was $15/bottle higher in price. You should expect no less from a wine with the Cos Estournel pedigree. This wine is a definite yes!efinite yes!
James Suckling 93 Points
The G d'Estournel is very classic with firm, racy tannins and dark, juicy fruit. Lots of chocolate and currants. Very balanced. 90% merlot and 10% cabernet sauvignon.
