I have what will certainly be some of the last of the wines from the stellar 2016 vintage in Montalcino. I have worked with the La Rasina Brunello for a couple of vintages now. I thought the 2015 was a blockbuster. But the 2016 is even better. Rasina is a powerful wine, laser-focused, with an incredibly smooth mouthfeel.
James Suckling gave the 2016 95 points
A solid, tight Brunello with a full body and a beautiful core of blackberry, blueberry, floral and sandalwood character. It’s very creamy and polished with gorgeous length and posture. Delicious finish. Give this time to open and show itself.
