The estate formerly known as Chateau Pegasus was one of the first organic producers in Greece. Recently undergoing its name change, Markos Markovitis rechristened the winery with his family name. Focusing on the singular grape variety Xinomavro, Markos has been crafting these wines on his humble 16 acre estate, continuing to farm organically, hand harvesting, switching to a gravity fed system and using minimal intervention in the cellar, all to produce one of the most singular wines in the region.

This is a beautiful and pure expression from a single vineyard that reflects what Xino should be. Dusty, spice leathery, sour cherry and a rounding out with notes of Kalamata olives.
