Description
In the glass this wine is salmon pink and fizzy. The Italians say frizzante. You will be surprised at how much is going on in the glass. Aromas of bright citrus, wild strawberry, and rose petal mingle to create a fresh and complex perfume.
The palate is clean and fresh with bright acidity. The Lambrusco that is consumed in Italy is dry. This wine as with all the Paltrineri Lambrusco we feature are the "real deal". You will not find a hint of sweetness here. The finish is persistent, and grows longer with some of the food pairings below.
The fizz is made in from a fermentation in the bottle after the final closure has been secured. The sediment remains in the bottle. This is know as Metodo Ancestrale, or the more descriptive rifermentazione in bottiglia.
This is an "old school" Lambrusco that can be enjoyed in modern time.
