In the glass, this wine is a crystal clear and delicate pink, with a very soft and persistent perlage.  The Italians call this fizzy style frizzante.  Frizzante is one of those words that reminds me of many Yiddish words.  It sounds exactly like what it means. At its best, the frizzante style brings freshness and lift to the wine and is soft and foamy in texture. 
The aromas white flowers, hawthorn, red apple skin, wild strawberry, and raspberry are easily perceptible. 
The strawberry and raspberry fruit carries through on the palate and strong acidity brings a crispness to the mix of red fruits.  The finish is as dry and clean as it gets.  

It is a lovely example of the Sorbara style of Lambruso, delicate and clean.
