85% Syrah, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Grenache. Average vine age is 45 years.

The Peyrassol Rouge is an unexpected delight from a renowned producer of excellent Provencal rosé.  Deeply pigmented with purple reflections, this cuvée highlights its ripe grape varieties: the notes of spices then give way to a beautiful panel of ripe red and black berries. The tannins are beautifully rendered, firm and silky. Flavors are intense, but also, extremely well-balanced.  Red fruits, blackberries and spices linger on the palate until the round, fleshy finish. 

Overall, the Peyrassol Rouge will surprise, then enchant you with its elegance.  It is certainly a wine that makes you wonder. If all the red wines in Provence this good, why I am not drinking more of it?
