Description
I am pleased that one of my vendors has been sourcing back vintage wines. Chateau Gloria is an old favorite. The history of Chateau Gloria dates back to 1903. Thus, the Chateau missed the 1855 classification of Right Bank Bordeaux. While the wine is widely considered to exceed the quality of many of the classified wines, the estate owners are content to build the merits of their wine on quality rather than classification. The wines consistently garner scores on par with many of the most respected wines in Bordeaux. The 2018 is no exception.

This wine has all the structured intensity and ripe fruitiness of a Saint-Julien. At the same time, it displays a light touch with the black fruits and open texture, promising an attractive wine. Drink the wine from 2026.
