Description
Luminous pure gold in the glass with a surprisingly complex nose considering the price. Aromas of nectarine, pineapple, fresh almond, white acacia flowers, and white pepper keep you on your toes wondering, what does this wine want to be, fruity or savory? On the palate, more of the same - honey, spicy cardamom-pepper, and citrus fruits. At 11.5% ABV, this wine is light, crisp, and refreshing. I would love this wine with hummus topped with smoky paprika and warm pita bread.
With a group of tasters that I will guarantee had very little experience with neither Alsatian wine, nor Pinot Blanc. I was surprised to find this was among the most popular wine in an eclectic lineup of whites.
If you are a slightly adventurous white wine afficionado, this one is definitely worth a try.
