US EXCLUSIVE! “Toccastelle” means “Touchstar,” and what a great name for this rich, ebullient Chianti Classico from 40-year old vines! This 929-year old “heirloom property” of Chianti Classico was lovingly restored to former glory by wine entrepreneur Alejandro Bulgheroni, beginning in 2012. The wine fills the room with classic aromas of dusty red cherries and earth, red roses and toasted, spicy almonds. 

This is my personal favorite in the store at the moment.  I am steadily depleting it on my own.  The price is special.  National retail is around $55.
