The Domaine de Bellene Beaune Premier Cru "Hommage a Françoise Potel" 2022 is a blend of Pinot Noir sourced from five premier cru vineyards in Beaune, Burgundy. The wine was created by vigneron Nicolas Potel and serves as a tribute to his mother, Françoise Potel. The grapes are harvested from old vines, ranging from 40 to 50 years old. 

This wine has complex aromas of steeped hibiscus tea, dark cherries, pomegranate, and blueberry, with notes of cedar wood spice and floral undertones. It has a broad and well-structured palate with dark red and black fruit flavors. The tannins are well-defined and lead to a long finish with fine density and a touch of austerity, indicating its aging potential. Robust and balanced, this wine has excellent aging potential and is expected to develop and soften over several years.

Jancis Robinson described the wine as a "great wine to remember her" (referring to Françoise Potel), with "fine tannins, crisp acidity, floral notes, bright dark-berry fruit". She noted that the wine is "beautifully balanced and very long on the finish," and that it is one of the "great-value wines to be had in Beaune in 2022".
