Description
Made from grapes sourced from a vineyard situated at 50 meters (3116 feet) the Bosque de Matasnos "Etiqueta Blanca" is nearly opaque in the glass. It bursts with aromas of black cherry, damson, and sweet tobacco. The palate is rich and full, almost chewy. Soft dusty tannins create a silky texture that rolls over the tongue. Despite its weight, the wine has a freshness that can be attributed to the cool nights enjoyed at the high altitude of the vineyard site. The finish lingers over the entire palate for nearly a minute. It hangs on even longer with when consumed with an aged Manchego, or grilled meats.
