We tasted the Canevel this afternoon and all in attendance were stunned at quality of this wine in general, not just when compared to other Prosecco. There were a few that commented that this "lowly" Prosecco outclassed a fair number of sparklers at nearly twice the price.
Bright, pale pink with light bubbles.. The Canevel Rosé opens with notes of raspberry and orange zest, mixed with subtle floral nuances in the echo. On the palate, wild strawberries, fresh with a clear drive, medium length. The mousse forms a creamy mouthfeel and a crisp, clean finish. This wine is a Brut. Absent is the sappy fruit that you find in many comparablly priced Prosecco..
This wine is absolutely lovely!
