In the glass this wine is a beautiful dark ruby with nuanced aromas of finely macerated red and dark fruits are intertwined with sweet notes of vanilla.  The palate is generous, but not over ripe. Fine, dusty tannins provide a framework that holds all of the components of this wine together in a harmonious display that is everything that you would want from a mid-priced St. Emilion.
