While the region around the Grand Cru Montrachet is best known for its iconic whites, it is often overlooked that about 1/3 of the wines produced in the appellation are red.   These underappreciated wines can be beautiful, elegant, and underpriced considering the quality. 

Made from grapes sourced from Domaine du Château de Chassagne-Montrachet, this wine opens with a beautiful perfume of black cherry and mocha.  The palate is mid-weight, supple, and round. There is a hint of toasty oak that lingers on the finish.  With 6 years of bottle age, this wine is in a beautiful place in its evolution.
