Description
The Galantino Family's tradition of making olive oil in Apulia, Italy, dates back to 1926. In 1960 the Galantino family bought the 47-hectare "La Fenice" farm, a green expanse of olive trees with more than 15,000 plants of the Ogliarola and Coratina varieties. Olives are harvested by hand grazing on sheets or with modern facilitators at the right degree of ripeness from October 15 to December 31. The quality of the product is evidenced by the care given to the olive trees, annual pruning to give air and light to the foliage and a modern drip irrigation system. All this allows the Extra Virgin Olive Oil to possess the best organoleptic qualities.
Each hand-painted amphorae contains high-quality, cold-extracted EVOO made from carefully selected olives harvested from the "La Fenice" orchard. The oil shows a medium fruity character with herbal notes, including artichoke, and a balanced touch of bitterness and spice that makes it both expressive and versatile.
