A beautiful bouquet of rose petals with tarry underbrush.  It is a classic wine that harkens to the old-school style that put Barolo on the map.  This is an amazing food wine.  While the 2017 has a bit more fruit on the palate than the 2016, If a fruit-driven Barolo is your preference, this wine is not for you.
