• 93% Sangiovese,7% cabernet sauvignon
• 50% New French oak, 50% neutral French oak

No one would think this wine is Sangiovese in a blind tasting.  It is quite a different expression of the varietal than what is expected from Tuscan producers.  Consider this wine as a delicious California red that flawlessly expresses the heart and soul of the California sunshine.  

There is still plenty of dark fruit and the oak has melded nicely into the mix.  The tannins present, and have evolved into something soft, round, and chewy.
