Description
This wine leads with lovely aromas of blue flowers intermingled with Earthy aromas of truffle and leather. This is a textbook profile for Nebbiolo. The palate has a rustic charm, offering game, berry and mint alongside dusty tannins and lively acidity. The Montestefano is the most structured of the Giordani wines. It will benefit greatly from a few years in the bottle. For the less patient, a good 2-3 hour decanting will also do the trick. The life of this wine will easily span 20 years or more. Enjoy with a hearty meat ragu, or a beef stew with tomatoes.
