Description
The 2016 Moueix Haut-Roc Blanquant is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru wine known for its charming, supple, and youthful fruit-forward character, a style achieved by selecting grapes with charm and approachability rather than intense structure. Made from 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc grown on limestone and clay soils, it features a vibrant red berry nose with notes of cranberry and cherry, leading to a medium-bodied palate with soft tannins and good length. The wine is vinified with gentle extraction and aged in French oak barrels, including 30% new oak, for 16 months.
