Description
From the northeast quadrant of Montalcino, this offers aromas of red berries with an appealing forest floor character and a touch of flint. The tannins are ripe and soft, making the a nice wine for early drinking when compared to other 2016 Brunello that I have tried. Ridolfi also producers a parcel selection called Donna Rebecca, which is oak-driven (a little too oaky) and richer in style. My preference is for the straightforward juiciness of this estate bottling. No need to wait on this one. Start drinking!
