Description
Thirteen years of age have softened all the difficult edges of young Aglianico. This wine is now at an ideal point in its evolution, offering a rare opportunity to understand Taurasi as it was intended: fully formed, expressive, and finally willing to reveal the secrets it guards so stubbornly in youth. - RM

The savory, almost wistful nose features aromas of worn leather, tobacco, mocha, Mediterranean brush and herbs, with energetic notes of violet and blackberry. On the palate, a powerful chocolate current accentuates the blackberry and coffee elements simultaneously, beneath a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Dusty tannins lend a warm, spicy quality. — Danielle Callegari
